To determine which shape you are, take measurements of the width of the following part of your body ( as shown on the diagram)
Shoulder (A)
Directly below the last rib (B)
Pelvis (C)

If A = C and B is around 70% of A or C

Apple Shape
If measurement B is bigger than A and C

Pear Shape
If measurement C is bigger thab A and B

d) Rectangle Shape
If measurement B is slightly smaller than A and C

e) Inverted Triangle Shape
If measurement A is bigger than B and C

The short answer to this oft asked question is NO.
